Srimad Bhagavatam's eighteen thousand verses contain hundreds of conversations between self-realized kings, yogis and sages of the ancient world on the subject of how to live a holistic spiritual life, including descriptions of karma, reincarnation, the soul's true nature and how to develop it. Though the teachings are ancient, their wisdom is timeless and our discussion each morning (starting at 8:00 AM) focuses on how to apply these principles in our modern context.

If you have something good you want to share with others...at the very least that's the spirit of Harinama. Bringing the sacred sound of Kirtan into the streets and sharing with people is a spontaneous experience of love and community. It's a simple but sublime service open for all to participate in. We regularly organize Harinama's throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall, so connect with us if you'd like to hear about the next chance to join.

Considered the essential thesis on eastern spiritual understanding, our Gita discussions focus on themes chapter by chapter and everyone present to shares their understanding of the wisdom offered in this sacred conversation between Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield. As Ralph Waldo Emerson put it

"I owed a magnificent day to the Bhagavad-gita. It was the first of books: it was as if an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the same questions which exercise us."
